Dr CHRIS BOULTON BVSc, MACVSc (Small Animal Surgery), MMgt
Chris Boulton graduated from Sydney University in 1993. Prior to joining the team at Gordon Vets in 1999, Chris had always had a keen interest in surgery. He gained extensive surgical experience in the United Kingdom, where he was the senior surgeon of four vet practices in Kent. After much study and difficult examinations he was admitted to the Surgical Chapter of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 2001.
At Gordon Vets, Chris is our primary surgeon and so performs highly skilled orthopaedic surgery such as fracture repairs and knee reconstructions. He also keeps up to date with the most modern recommendations for treatment of arthritis in pets, deals with the most complicated of our trauma cases and is highly involved in surgical cure of cancers. He also has a keen interest in dentistry, radiography and pain management. Chris is also skilled in the art and science of managing a large veterinary practice, for which he gained a masters degree in 2005.
Whilst being an extremely competent surgeon, Chris maintains his compassion for his job as a veterinarian and is greatly appreciated by his clients for his gentle nature.
Chris has two cats – Steve and Harriet – both loved by his daughter Ella and son Henry. In his spare time he likes to cook, watch cricket and ride bikes with his family.
