Amy started working at Gordon Vet Hospital as a veterinary nurse in February 2011.
She was born and bred in Sydney and completed her HSC at Asquith Girls High School in 2010. Amy has also grown up riding horses for 11 years, including completing in showjumping and dressage.
Having always had a passion for working with animals, Amy’s career background includes working at an equine centre for 3 years so she is an extremely competent animal handler. She is also experienced in customer service having worked in this role at an AMF bowling centre during her school days.
Amy is currently busy studying part-time towards her Certificates II & III in Animal Studies and is also working towards her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She is thoroughly enjoying studying a subject that is directly relevant at her workplace.
In her spare time, Amy loves horse riding, snorkelling and travelling. She owns a cat called Emma and 2 dogs. One of her dogs has epilepsy.
“I have always loved animals and have a passion for their well-being.”
Amy has proven to be a highly observant, motivated individual, who genuinely cares for the animals’ well-being and comfort. We are extremely grateful to have her on our team at Gordon Vets.
